Kazimierz Nitkiewicz

Kazimierz Nitkiewicz – trumpeter, sound director, publisher. A graduate of the Faculty of Sound Direction at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, he is a member of the Warsaw Sentimental Orchestra. His heart belongs to traditional music from different parts of the world, especially from Poland, the Carpathian Mountains, the Balkans and Polish and Western music from the period 1920-1940. With the band Gęsty Kożuch Kurzu, he won the Grand Prix at the 2016 Polish Radio New Tradition competition. He collaborates as a trumpeter and sound engineer with artists such as Janusz Prusinowski, Tęgie Chłopy and Karolina Lizer. His credits also include collaborations with Brodka, Tomasz Stańko, Bum Bum Orkestar and the Little Dancing Orchestra.
