Csángó at the EtnoKraków/Rozstaje 2024 Festival
The festival will include workshops related to the culture of Csángó. You are cordially invited to the unique classes, which will be led by members of the Szépszerével band and Joanna Mieszkowicz.
Szépszerével & Joanna Mieszkowicz is an ensemble that faithfully recreates the musical traditions of the Transylvanian (Erdély) region. Farkas Gyulai (fiddle, gordon, singing) and Gergely Sámsondi (koboz lute, fiddle, flutes) are disciples of village musicians who promote the oldest forms of folk music, traditional instrument costumes, melodies, musical scales and dances. Joanna Mieszkowicz, an animator and promoter of Csángó culture in Poland, supports them in leading dances, moderating events and interpreting.
Come join in the fun and learn the dances at the workshops to immerse yourself in the rich tradition of the Csángó culture!
